Have you considered a new Windows setup? Also, attempt to start Ubuntu inside Windows—either by installing it there or using a bootable USB drive. If Linux doesn’t recognize your hardware, it’s likely damaged. Make sure your BIOS is current.

Can you share the screenshot of your Device manager? If it shows the Wi-Fi device but with warning sign, that could means that there are some driver issue I have a similar problem before (only for Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth works fine), the Wi-Fi and hotspot option would gray out when I click on the bottom right and it turns out to be the Wi-Fi that comes from the motherboard is problematic

I can take a brief pause for you. Please confirm if you'd like a specific restart, not a shutdown. This issue keeps happening with my Windows 11 systems. I want to be sure this helps, so if it doesn’t, could you share a screenshot of the Device Manager with the network section expanded?

Consider using a USB drive with any Linux distribution you prefer to test. If it also fails to detect the Wi-Fi card either automatically or by checking PCI/PCIe devices via 'ls pci', it likely indicates faulty hardware. This issue typically appears as an error device in Device Manager but isn't always visible.

If you have a dead Wi-Fi chip, you can find a reliable USB Wi-Fi antenna for under $20 on Amazon.

I restarted my computer and the Wi-Fi is working again. I tried connecting my phone via a hotspot and USB-C, though I’m not sure if that fixed everything. The Wi-Fi options reappeared after booting up today, and networks started showing once I enabled the wired hotspot. Thanks to everyone for your assistance. I’d consider going back to Windows 7, but Microsoft no longer supports it.
