The Wi-Fi feature is completely missing now.
Hey everyone, I hope you're all enjoying a pleasant May. I powered on my PC this evening only to find the entire Wi-Fi panel vanished. The pop-up, control panel, and even network devices disappeared completely. When I tried pinging 172.1.1.1 as administrator, the test passed fine, so it’s not a hardware issue. I’ve updated the drivers and re-enabled services, but nothing changed. It seems my network card in the software is simply gone. Windows didn’t roll back properly, making the restore point ineffective. The BIOS confirmed the card was enabled, but changing it didn’t help. I upgraded to 32GB RAM and a 3TB NVMe drive about a week and a half ago, and everything functioned well until now.
Reinserted the content again, which seems to resolve the issue more often than not.
The Wi-Fi is integrated into your motherboard instead of being on a separate card.
oh what the hell? it just disappeared??? does your bluetooth still work?
Restart the driver for the matching Wi-Fi card. If that isn't possible, remove the Wi-Fi driver via Device Manager and try again after a restart; this usually restores it and should resolve the issue, although the first method is preferable.
The Wi-Fi card has disappeared, making it impossible to reinstall the driver. It seems the adapter isn’t present at all on the PC. I could share a screenshot of my device manager, but the connection appears nonexistent. It doesn’t seem to be there anymore.
Connect the Wi-Fi cable right away. Verify your EFI settings to confirm it wasn’t turned off. Windows should handle automatic firmware updates for the motherboard, possibly disabling it by accident. Review your current version against the manufacturer’s site to ensure it matches the latest release. If needed, revert to an earlier version to resolve any issues.
