Hi, your WiFi issue on the Asus K55A seems unusual. Mini PCIe cards can fail for various reasons, and it's not uncommon for them to stop working unexpectedly. The fact that removing power didn't help suggests a hardware problem rather than just power supply. Plugging in a USB Wi-Fi adapter resolved the issue, which points to a possible connection or driver problem. Frequent refreshing on the desktop might indicate a software glitch. If this happens often, consider checking the card's health or contacting support.

Attempt to secure fresh drivers, if possible, otherwise they may need replacement.

Attempt to launch a different operating system. If the device restarts, the problem likely relates to Windows. Mini-PCI_e Wi-Fi modules can be swapped out.

Starting a different operating system was something I hadn't considered before.

I just booted Linux Mint and no connection. Points to hardware fault. Have another card on the way from Newegg. 15 dollars.

I retrieved the card and it appears to work better now. It refreshes frequently. The target icon remains visible on the right side of the taskbar. Windows 10 is functioning properly.

The card is no longer functional. I retrieved it from my Aunt's old Asus E book device. It functioned properly. It will remain in use until my new one arrives from New Egg. The Mini PCIe port seems to be working fine.
