I recently upgraded to a first-gen i7 with an ASUS P6T Deluxe v2 board. Since it doesn’t have built-in Wi-Fi, I installed a PCIe Wi-Fi card but it didn’t connect. The device manager lists it, yet the disk appears missing. I’ve tried disabling devices and scanning for changes, but nothing works.

Have you checked the CD or attempted to download the driver?

In that scenario, obtain the appropriate driver for the card and set it up using the specified approach.

I should have mentioned I don’t have Wi-Fi, but I’m downloading it on my computer.

Download the necessary driver and move it onto your computer. There won’t be a sudden fix where the card operates without one, so it needs a driver to function properly until then.
