The Wi-Fi card fails to display or connect to the network once a different GPU is installed.
Hello everyone, I hope everyone is feeling better. This is my first post since I haven’t found a relevant thread before. My system setup includes an Asus Prime x570 motherboard, AMD 3600 CPU, Nvidia GTX 660ti GPU, Corair RM750 PSU, and a GT 710. After some troubleshooting, I realized my laptop was fried and needed a fast fix to keep working. The specs seemed clear, but I had to bypass a few steps.
For the GPU, I used a GT 710 to get a basic video signal for display. The GTX 660ti came from a friend who had found a new GPU. Once installed and connected, I encountered issues: when opening my browser, it showed no connection to AMD. After checking, it looked like my computer had forgotten how to connect to Wi-Fi. Since the LAN port wasn’t working and the main port was too far, I tried updating drivers for the WiFi chipset on a friend’s PC. But nothing changed.
The unexpected part was that my speakers were being detected and connected through the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card. The installed card is listed here: https://www.inter-tech.de/en/products/ne...ter/dmg-35. Could anyone help me resolve this? Thanks a lot, and please let me know if I posted in the wrong thread.
I verified them, and the Bluetooth speaker connected successfully (though I’m not sure if they use the antenna). Computer checked yesterday at 21:00 and confirmed everything is up to date. It’s running version 20H2. Picture attached.
It doesn't seem right. You should notice something related to Intel AX200. There might be entries under "unidentified." When you set up the drivers, did you just install the Bluetooth ones? For Intel-based WiFi cards that include Bluetooth, you typically need two driver packages: one for Bluetooth and another for WiFi.
Hey, your setup is awesome! I swapped the PCI slot where you had the WLAN card and moved it down. Now everything should work smoothly. Hope they can share a channel without issues. Enjoy your weekend!
