You're experiencing issues with your MSI MAG X670E using the Wi-Fi adapter on 5GHz despite updates and checking the device manager. The Eero 7 is working as expected, so the problem might be with the driver configuration or network settings. Consider verifying the correct wireless profile in Device Manager and ensuring the adapter is properly connected.

It indicates a 6 GHz frequency is involved. To confirm the current standard, you should check your device settings or network information. Regarding signal strength, measure the distance from your router and note any barriers such as walls that might affect connectivity.

The connection will rely on the WiFi network you're linking to, which utilizes the band specified by your AP/router. Make sure to verify or note its configuration.

Review the interface details by typing "netsh wlan show interfaces" and look for "Radio type" in the results.

Thanks for your response. I’ll try the 6GHz setting and see how it goes. I didn’t consider that earlier. Had to change to an Ethernet cable this morning because my wife had a meeting. I’ll check the Eero network in about 20 minutes and get back to you. This machine is roughly 7-10 meters away, separated by one wall from the hub. Speaking of walls, I live in an old Welsh house with thick stone walls filled with rock that really blocks the Wi-Fi. That’s why I’m upgrading to Eero. Thanks again—will share an update later.

Both devices on the identical network and phone are operating at 5GHz within the same space. The laptop is receiving 1.8mbps while the phone is getting 289mbps.

I'll do it right after your wife's meeting is over and I regain access to my office. I'll keep you updated, thank you!

The laptop is likely resting on the desk, whereas the PC sits beneath it. Their antenna placements might influence the outcome.

Are there distinct networks for 2.4GHz and 5GHz? Or does your router automatically change between them? If yes, the problem might lie with your router, possibly switching too quickly to the 2.4GHz band unless you're close to the access point.

Apologies for the delayed response. It's been quite a busy day. Switching to 6GHz improved the connection speed to my primary Wi-Fi router (290 Mbps), though it remained "Slow" at 43 on Eero at that distance. Since the computer isn't moving, I'll rely on the main router, which is now much faster. Thanks again!
