The webcam driver is missing. Please find guidance on how to reinstall or recover it.
Hello everyone, a few weeks ago I encountered a Trojan virus on my laptop that I managed to eliminate. During the process, my webcam driver also disappeared, which seems likely due to the removal. I've attempted several ways to download the driver online, but none have worked. I was considering a full reset of Windows 10, though I'm hesitant because I don't want to lose any data. The model ID is samsung np300e5c. If anyone has faced the same problem and found a solution, I'd really appreciate it.
Ensure your files are safe before backing up, then reset or reinstall Windows as needed. Find out how you detected the infection and confirm the removal was complete.
You may reinstall Windows to recover lost files, this process will only fix missing Windows components while preserving your files and applications. If you're sure the virus is gone, you can obtain the Camera driver from the Samsung Download page https://www.samsung.com/us/support/downl...0E5C-A06US
I tried to download a pre-activated copy of Vegas Pro from a questionable site. Even though I was hesitant at first, I went ahead and downloaded it. Right after opening the file, Windows Defender flagged it as a serious Trojan. After several hours of work, I managed to eliminate it using an offline scan. I want to caution others about this unsafe website and my encounter. Edited March 30, 2023 by Spotty removed piracy link
There is a risk of getting a virus when downloading pirated software. If you need Sony Vegas, obtain it legally from their website.
