Hi everyone, I lost my PC password and need to reset it. I updated it on the Microsoft site but it still isn’t working. I noticed you can change your password in 'Computer Management,' but when I click on my account (the only one), it warns me about data loss and encryption. How does this process work? Will I lose any information? Thanks!

You sign in using an MS account on Windows. Confirm the device has internet access, or the password update won't work.

The system registers itself automatically. It seems you're using your Microsoft account, as the settings display your Microsoft ID.

When you enter your MS account via a web browser, the system identifies your PC and confirms its connection.

I was really concentrating on my tests for the last couple of days. Good to hear you managed to fix everything with Microsoft. Their help tends to be unreliable when it comes to activation.
