I have a Ryzen 7 2700X processor and an ASRock B450M PRO4 motherboard. A YouTube video mentioned that using 3+3 VRMs is confusing for new builders since it actually has six VRM choke points, but the idea still seems unclear. It raises concerns about running the CPU and overclocking. Can you clarify the situation? Also: If I don’t have an APU (which is true for the 2700X), what does the "+3" VRMs mean? Is there a way to adjust them to a 6+0 configuration? Thanks. Edit: It seems contradictory—on the ASRock site they say "9 power phase design," but on YouTube it says 3+3...

Check the first link for a sense of what to anticipate from each motherboard. For an R7 2700X OC, expect power ratings around 75A to 100A.
