Hello. I own a X360 that was dropped by a client. Now the volume control keeps showing issues. Because of the display crack from the drop, I’m considering a screen replacement. Before ordering, I removed the screen completely and connected it to another monitor via HDMI. The small volume display remains in the upper left corner—same spot as before. What’s causing this? Also, the keyboard is displaying muted volume (amber light on the F key). If I adjust the volume on the task bar and drag it to 100%, it works, but when I release the slider, it slips back to zero. Another note: after a full system reset, the volume feature disappeared completely on the first blue setup screen and reappeared during subsequent sign-in screens. UPDATE — I also noticed the keyboard is behaving oddly, as if a button is stuck. It might mean I need to disassemble it for further inspection!

Going to drink now. It could help... maybe trying it again?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I also had issues with a similar problem on my keyboard, but the solution was simply unplugging it. It seemed to be a software glitch, possibly a stuck key.
