The Viotek monitor is experiencing issues.
Hello, I’m experiencing a problem with my VIOTEK 27 Inch 1440p monitor, specifically the GFV27DAB model. When the device is turned off—whether in power-saving mode or completely unplugged—it displays disturbing vertical and horizontal lines. The issue seems to resolve itself after a short period, but it’s now occurring more frequently with shorter downtime and taking longer to disappear. I’m worried it might not fix itself at all. I’ve attached photos of the problem. The monitor was bought in September 2020, so it’s still relatively new. Anyone have any insight or suggestions on how to resolve this?
No idea what's happening, but there's an easy way to test if it's the monitor: connect the monitor to another device, or connect your PC to another monitor. If the lines occur when another monitor is connected to your PC, chances are your GPU is the problem. If the lines occur when another device is connected to the monitor, chances are the monitor is the problem.
Pretty good chance that it's not the GPU if only this monitor is acting up. You could indeed confirm it by connecting the problem monitor to the same output on your video card, just in case there's a really slim chance of a one-off anomaly with one of your video card outputs.
You're experiencing the same problem again, with lines showing up in the same spot despite testing various cables and computers. It seems the issue is likely with your monitor, though no one else seems to have it. You've already contacted Viotek, but nothing has been resolved.
