Hello, Two months ago I began experiencing video freezes unexpectedly. They occur without warning and disrupt all applications—YouTube, VLC, Twitter, and the usual workaround is restarting the computer. Sometimes it resolves itself, but often not. I noticed that muting the audio makes the video function again, while turning it back on stops it once more. It’s strange and I haven’t found a reliable fix. Could anyone assist me? Operating system: Windows 11 64bit Intel I7-9700K Asus Rtx 3080TI, model: Maximus Hero 11, SKS skill, DDR4 3200mhz, BIOS version 3.2. Edited November 16, 2025 by maczypka. It seems there might be an issue with video or audio drivers. Could your audio output in the sound mixer be directed to the correct port? I previously turned off Nvidia HD audio on my system, which resolved many problems. It was active when using HDMI or DP cables for monitors with audio support. Let me know if this helps.
