Hello, I'm just starting out with overclocking. I managed to reach 5GHz easily, but adjusting the multiplier to 51 still doesn't hit 5.1GHz. I've confirmed my power limits are at their maximum and voltage is set properly. I'm using an Aorus Z390 Pro motherboard and my voltage is at 1.45V. Updated June 5, 2020 by jaywalkin24
I think you likely didn’t win the high-end CPU race for reaching over 5GHz, especially with your 9900k not hitting 5GHz.
The Bios update functioned well and addressed my voltage problems as well. Previously I had to adjust voltages beforehand to maintain stability, but now it works much better. Thanks! The temperatures were also reasonable with my noctua nh-d15. *Note* I reached up to 1.5v to keep stability at 5.1ghz, but I couldn<|pad|> to find the voltage setting and felt uneasy trying to push it higher. I managed to set RAM to 3700 and adjust memory timing without issues. Updated June 5, 2020 by jaywalkin24
