The VAC ban for Overwatch appears to be incorrect.
I just played a standard matchmaking game today. The video shows what happened, but I didn’t use any aimbot or similar tools. Someone on the other team reported me, so I’m hoping the viewer watching my replay is close enough to notice and not just say they’re using cheats. If anyone knows how to verify whether I used any cheats, that would be really helpful.
Most players focus on details and don’t just assume someone is hacking just because they’re being watched. Even if a viewer thinks you’re cheating, you only get banned if the majority of observers confirm it. I’ve been reported in half my games by the enemy team, but I still have great control and never get banned. It’s not something to stress about.
An Overwatch ban appears on your profile without any visible details. Only you are aware of the ban. When a friend received a ban, it was for a year, but this varies based on the reports made—such as griefing—which affect the length of the ban.
Nothing unusual appears here. VAC functions automatically, and Overwatch won't ban you for that.
