I constructed a fresh PC recently. Occasionally my microphone fails: U-PHORIA UMC22 with phantom power and an AT2020 mic linked through a USB cable to the system. When I speak, a light appears on the AMP panel—it runs on USB, so the connection seems intact, yet audio isn’t being sent to the PC. It resolves when I disconnect and reconnect or switch the input device in Discord. This behavior hasn’t happened before on my old machine. The system model is B650 tomahawk with 7800x3d.

Consider checking for a driver problem, uninstall the current one and get the previous version from the manufacturer's website.
