Which USB hub do you own? Make sure the C-type ports can handle data transmission in addition to power delivery.

It's the VOLK ML-CB26 with USB 2.0. The card reader and USB ports were functioning before, but they stopped working now. I'm not sure what's causing it.

It powers up, but does it also support data transfer on the device? If it only charges, then the USB connection isn't working properly.
