Hey everyone! I just bought a new motherboard, the ROG Strix B550-E Gaming. I was expecting something more affordable but ended up with a higher-end one. When setting it up, I noticed the USB Gen 1 header had plastic casing around the pins instead of bare ones. This means my case cable (4000D airflow by Corsair) won’t fit properly. The original board I used was the TUF gaming X570 Plus. Should I look for a different cable or try to find a Gen 2 version? Thanks!

You removed the USB 3.0 cable from your previous motherboard, took off the protective plastic casing, and noticed the plastic wasn’t meant to be there. To fix it:
- Remove the black plastic covering from the cable
- Connect the cable properly to your new motherboard
- If you still have the old board, reinstall the original plastic cover and remember this step next time
