Im running windows 8.1 and i cant find the little "eject usb" thing is the bottom right corner. When i unplugged my iPhone it did the sound when you remove your device without ejecting this. Is there anyway to get this back. (probably the stupidest question ever but i cant figure it out)

When you're sure nothing is being copied to the device, you don't have to actually "eject" it.

You don't necessarily have to safely eject hardware. It's safe as long as it isn't storing any data; otherwise, you might just get a corrupted file. If you must eject, locate the icon in the hidden icons menu at the bottom right. Pressing the up arrow should appear when something is connected.
