The results on PSU appear acceptable -
https://www.lifewire.com/power-supply-vo...es-2624583
within expected variations.
Consider testing with a 32GB RAM setup to determine if it affects performance. Just to confirm whether differences are the issue.
Perform a clean boot and observe any changes - follow the guidelines carefully and avoid disabling any Microsoft services or Windows won't load properly.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help...in-windows
This process doesn’t alter system files; it simply halts non-Microsoft applications at startup. It’s reversible. If a clean boot resolves the problem, it likely points to a startup program. You may need to restart the stopped programs one by one to identify the culprit.
Top two issues are USB 2, with the bottom for BIOS flashing
Further details follow in the next section: HDMI & DP ports
The top two in the following section are USB 2 and the lower two are USB 3.2
Next part covers LAN and USB 3.2 with a USB C connection
All USB functionality is lost after that. Diagram from page 10 -
https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe...00x150.pdf
It seems the USB 2 ports above the USB 3.2 ones aren’t functioning, yet the top one does. This is unusual since they should be identical. Previously, different chips controlled USB, but this model uses Intel.

I'll check the RAM first and then perform a clean boot. The problem can be hard to reproduce, so this might take some time. To be clear, the mouse doesn't appear to have an issue with the leftmost USB 2 port above the BIOS flash port in the MSI manual. I was talking about it in the upright position, sorry for any confusion earlier. The other five USB type-A ports seem to consistently show the problem (though I don't use type-C right now). It might just be a coincidence that the mouse works when connected to that port, but I thought it worth mentioning.

Take your time. USB issues appear to resolve more slowly. I thought I might have flashed the USB 2 and BIOS in the incorrect sequence, so the top left is USB 2. Are any of these models outdated? I’ve experienced strange problems with older devices on my PC before, but both affected my GPU and didn’t stop all my USB connections from working. There are no unusual connection or disconnection noises. Question – "Usb device not recognized" appears every second. Just about a week ago, whenever I powered on my system, Windows would play the "New device" sound repeatedly, every single second. It continues to do so each time I start up. It lasts around five minutes. I’ve attempted several system restores... forums. not identical error but the tool could assist in identifying the cause if Windows can provide details.

The keyboard is the oldest, around 5 years old. The mouse and mic are roughly 2 years old. The speakers are about a year old, and the FIIO AMP/DAC is less than two months. I notice a nice popping sound from the DAC when the problem happens. Unlike other devices, it seems to resume sending and receiving after a short time. As far as I know, Windows doesn’t produce disconnect noises. In the past, I looked at the windows event log after disconnections, but nothing was recorded. Thank you for providing those tools! They should really assist me when the issue arises.

My two devices were speakers around 12 years old and a mouse about 8 years old. Since they only use USB, I’d begin there. It could be that the device is demanding too much power and causing issues with the rest of the system.
I have a G910, which is my spare keyboard. It fell onto the floor once and its Home key is slightly bent now. I swapped it in with a Corsair K70 RGB. It functions perfectly, which is great to have a working backup. Do you use G Hub or LGS to manage its RGB settings? I remember G Hub took some time to work properly with its color schemes.
I think I checked out a G502 when replacing the mouse but ended up choosing a Steelseries model since the previous one was from them too. I like its design -

I don’t expect an 8-year-old mouse to cause trouble, but age doesn’t really matter much.

After completing all these steps, the disconnection issue reappeared this afternoon... -_-)

if windows can't see it happening, probably means its not a windows problem. Its hardware causing it.
It may be victim blaming but I would start on the USB devices.
do you have any other USB not mentioning below?
i didn't know Logitech made Blue Yeti? and yet they did 4 years ago, wonder how i missed that.
might need to detach some and see if it helps at all. Use a spare mouse/keyboard for instance. need to reduce things it could be.
Could be one is shorting and causing others to disconnect. Finding problems windows cannot see are always fun.

Nope. The speakers haven't been connected for quite some time. The DAC is connected via a USB hub passthrough on the monitor, but the issue has persisted even before owning the DAC or using that monitor port/hub.

Now the update:
It seems the problem isn't related to my RAM setup. I tried the system with one of the two kits and still encountered the same issue.
It likely isn't the keyboard either. I used a very generic USB keyboard, but the disconnecting problem remained. Only the mouse seemed to stop working at that point, which is unusual.

During the most recent disconnect, several other components failed and I couldn't resolve them by simply reconnecting. When the device froze, all devices went completely unresponsive and "Windows couldn't find a suitable driver." The entire USB port group became non-functional except for the one next to the BIOS flash. I had to restart the system, after which everything worked again. The event log also provided new information:
Event 7000 / 3 / and 6, service control manager; The IntelHaxm service failed to start due to the following error: A device attached to the system is not functioning.
Event 3 and 6; The description for Event ID 3/6 from source IntelHaxm could not be found. It might be that the component triggering this event isn't installed on your computer or the installation is corrupted.

These details aren't very helpful at the moment. I reviewed the logs multiple times, but the disconnecting issue doesn't always trigger these errors. I'll recheck all drivers and consider using a generic mouse. I'm also planning to uninstall G HUB and master plus to see if that affects things. As suggested, I'll run a standard mouse and keyboard setup without the DAC and microphone (good luck!).

Last week, before beginning a clean boot, I attempted to uninstall G Hub. Since then, I haven't experienced any problems. I plan to keep running the system without it for a while longer and then reinstall to check if the issue reappears and confirms that G Hub was the cause. I will provide an update later.

It wasn't G Hub or MasterPlus. The issue arose after both devices were uninstalled. With just a simple mouse, keyboard, and headphones connected via the front IO aux, and all other USB devices removed, the mouse and keyboard didn't disconnect noticeably. They seemed to reconnect more quickly than my usual setup, though I'm not certain. Additionally, the Logitech mouse dropped when using the basic keyboard, and the Logitech keyboard dropped when using the basic mouse.

I'm now using a clean-boot system, with Steam enabled only (disconnecting is rare except during games). I'm considering disconnecting the cooler master fan hub through a USB header, even though I'm unsure if it's a good idea at this stage.
