The USB 3.2 connection isn't functioning properly on your motherboard.
I recently purchased a new Quest 2 headset and a Meta LinkCable. After connecting them to my PC, it reported it wasn’t linked to a 3.0 port. I double-checked the motherboard manual—it confirmed a 3.0 USB port. I tried using the same cable on both devices: my laptop achieved 2.5 Gbps, while my PC only got 340 Mbps and labeled it as USB 2. I updated USB drivers, disabled power-saving features, adjusted power plans, and even reset the BIOS, but nothing resolved the issue. Now I’m considering replacing the motherboard. Is this a good idea or can I still manage with what I have? Thanks for your help.
Which USB connections did you use? The board features several 3.1 Gen 1 ports suitable for 5 Gbps and two 3.1 Gen 2 ports capable of 10 Gbps. Did you check the rear red ports? Have you used a different cable before?
I used several options with a 3.2 USB cable (which I verified works on my laptop at 2.5 Gbps). I tried the standard USB 3.1 and 3.2 cables but none provided the expected speed. My computer kept identifying it as a USB 2.0 port, even when using the red 3.2 ports.
