It seems that wireless mice favor USB 2.0 connections to the mb. However, I upgraded my system and now it only supports 3.0 or better. My wireless mouse behaves unpredictably when plugged directly into the mb. Currently, I use a USB dock, which works better but isn't very smooth. It's still better than jumping across the screen with every movement.

I'm considering adding four USB 2.0 ports using the mb's 2.0 headers. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks for the update! The Logitech MX Master 3S has many devices connected to it—two wireless mice, two wireless keyboards, a launch monitor, two swing cameras, a touch monitor, a microphone, and a backup disk, among others.

Are you utilizing the wireless USB transceiver from Logitech or Bluetooth? Try the app.
Logi Options+ for details—check for firmware updates or adjust settings to enhance performance.

Can you use an extension cable and position the dongle near the mouse? Would Bluetooth work then? If yes, it might be faulty.

My extension cable is an Amazon Basics and appears to be for power only. I’ll need to purchase a data extension. Bluetooth doesn’t seem to function at all—it doesn’t broadcast when switched to BT. It looks like the device is faulty. I’ll contact Logitech for help. I was using another wireless one, which worked fine.

It supports Bluetooth 5.4. The mouse seems to have a Bluetooth switch, though it hasn't functioned properly.

the mouse has bluetooth support, though the adapter only works via radio waves. If windows doesn't allow bluetooth pairing, you won't have it and can't connect it. rf connections are slow and require a clear visual signal plus short range for optimal performance
