Hello everyone! I recently assembled my PC and everything appears normal except for the motherboard USB 2.0 connections. After installing Windows 10, my gaming keyboard would disconnect every few seconds, but once I got into gaming it worked smoothly again. Both the keyboard and headphones kept switching between connection and disconnection every 5 to 10 minutes during gameplay. The two USB 3.0 ports functioned perfectly, and I tested both headphones and keyboard there to rule out device-specific issues. It seems the USB 2.0 ports are damaged somehow. I attempted to remove the USB drivers via Device Manager, which would prompt Windows to reinstall them after a restart, but the problem continued. I also adjusted the power management settings in Device Manager and the power plan, yet nothing resolved it. My BIOS is up to date, though it's still an early release, so it might be a minor BIOS glitch that could be fixed in future updates. If anyone has other ideas or steps to try, I’d really appreciate it!

Consider turning off the least used C states in the BIOS... I don't recall the exact name like C5 or C6, but it means preventing CPU cores from entering a deeper sleep mode or shutting down completely. This reduces power draw from nearly half a watt to around one watt or less.

Verify Windows power configurations and adjust as needed. Turn off the automatic shutdown for USB devices to conserve energy.
