I changed my Wi-Fi speed from 20mbps to 50mbps. Now my laptop has full bandwidth, but my mobile is only getting about 10mbps. Someone can clarify what’s going on. Also, when I used the hotspot on my laptop, my phone got significantly faster.

You possess additional details to share. If your landline connection speed improved, this represents a tier upgrade rather than a WiFi plan change. Did your ISP also supply a new modem or gateway? If yes, what is its model and brand? If you’re relying on cellular data and upgraded to a higher tier, that doesn’t count as a “WiFi plan upgrade.” When connected directly via Ethernet, what speeds are you receiving? If you’re achieving 50Mbps, the ISP has met their commitment since they’re only required to guarantee wired performance. Once you move to WiFi, several variables can influence actual speeds. What is the model of your smartphone? And what is the wireless adapter model on your laptop?
