I recently purchased a 144Hz monitor and am now saving to upgrade from the FX8320 to a Ryzen 2600. Curious about the benefits—especially for games like Rocket League, Rust, LoL, and R6 Siege. While I know the frame rate boost is significant, I'd love to understand just how much faster it would make a difference.

It also relies on your GPU, so could you tell me which one you have?

It relies on the extent of the FX bottleneck in those titles. I can mention that it would remove big framed drops and microstutters, though I don’t have direct experience with the specific games you referred to.

It seems unclear, but the specs match and performance should improve noticeably.

Depends on the graphics card and resolution. I'm assuming you're using the same system on your profile - an RX 580 - and that you're running the game at 1080p. If so, here's the video someone made of the Ryzen 5 2600 + RX 580 running Rocket League. Go ahead and compare it to whatever performance you get with your current setup. I saw a video of Rocket League being played on an FX 8320 + RX 480 and a Ryzen 5 2600 + RX 580, and the difference was definitely not trivial, but it looked fairly smooth on both systems.

I possess both CPUs and have conducted thorough testing with various GPUs. In those particular titles, the FX CPU delivers over 60 FPS, while the Ryzen CPU offers a solid boost but isn't justified unless you're playing those specific games.

This would let me purchase additional titles so I could finish up my configuration. It would keep me enjoying top frame rates at 144Hz. Plus, it would provide a superior experience moving forward.
