Hey there, just installed a Ryzen 5800x3d and updated my BIOS. After switching to the new CPU, the PC won’t boot and the red indicator stays on. I tried re-seating it but couldn’t fix it. When I switched back to the old 2600x, everything worked fine. Details: CPU upgraded from 2600x to 5800x3d, motherboard MSI X470 Gaming Pro, 32GB RAM, Corsair RTX 4070, Samsung Sata SSD, PSU Corsair RM1000X, 1000W. Updated on Nov 28, 2023 by L0ading...

You've maintained the same PSU for several months without any problems. All the chords remain original, suggesting the new power connector on the motherboard isn't currently in use. It's unclear if this extra connector is necessary for the higher TDP of the 5800X3D, but it doesn't seem to be affecting performance right now.
