I initially assembled my PC using 2x8 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX at 3000 MHz. I purchased the identical Corsair Vengeance package and installed it, but it repeatedly fails to boot at 2133 MHz single channel. XMP settings aren’t functioning, and my motherboard restricts manual timing adjustments without XMP support. I attempted a BIOS update to the newest release and lowered my CPU speed, yet it still operates at 2133 MHz. I’m unsure whether this issue is significant, though I know one Corsair kit is Micron and another is Hynix.

Single channel indicates the sticks aren’t placed correctly—they need to be spaced two slots apart. For XMP, Asrock BIOS will ask you to set the memory frequency afterward. It might seem like the option isn’t available, but it could be missing rather than unavailable.

I only have four spots, and all four are now taken since I added my second kit. I also adjusted the frequency to 3000 and tried 2933, but it would trigger the three boot loops unless the frequency was set to auto.

consider testing at 2666MHz, since not all first-gen CPUs can maintain stability at 2933MHz. If you're willing, you might increase the memory voltage and adjust the SOC voltage to 1.1V.
