To update using the media creation tool, you should first ensure your laptop is connected to a power source and properly powered on. Once that’s confirmed, try booting from the USB drive you used last night. If the installation process doesn’t start, the install assistant might be the better option despite its size.

Insert the installation disc into a USB drive while the device is powered on and launch Setup.exe. It will present an upgrade option.
