Attempting to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 on a Lenovo Legion 5 AR15H05 laptop. Despite meeting the PC Health Check requirements, the Windows Update section in Settings doesn’t display an "update to Windows 11" option—only hardware compatibility checks appear. Someone, please let me know how to resolve this issue. Attached screenshot included. Hardware: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H, Nvidia 1650Ti, 32GB DDR4, 1TB HDD, 250GB SSD.
This might seem unusual... But it occurred with my colleague. Look for a firmware update for your Samsung SSD. He couldn't upgrade to the newest Win11 version without first updating his SSD firmware. It didn't make sense to me, yet it did. So... verify if an update exists. Apply it if available. Retry and let me know. Use Samsung Magician. https://www.samsung.com/ca/consumer-storage/magician/ If no update is found... Employ the media creation tool to obtain a Windows 11 installer on a flash drive and perform the manual installation outside of Windows (UPDATE, not Delete + clean install).
Magician, it looks like your Samsung SSD might not be compatible with any of the available firmware updates. I didn’t notice a straightforward method for updating, so perhaps that’s not the problem. I won’t have considered checking it beforehand. I’ll look into the creation tool next. Thanks!
The latest BIOS is confirmed. I'll proceed with the next attempt.
In the lower left corner of the software, you'll see an "update" option. It will indicate whether your SSD is running the most recent firmware.
No, I don’t think that’s necessary. Using the media creation tool and installing Win11 from scratch can be effective.
