Hi! I purchased a new HP laptop running Windows 10 Home. It requires an update to version 1803, but I’m having trouble pausing the update process. Each time I try to pause it by clicking the "Pause Update" button, it disappears almost immediately.
Join Windows 10, it understands more than you think... show respect to your new controller.
I believe the delay only affects changes within a 35-day period. 1803 definitely exceeds that timeframe.
Position yourself beneath your network adapter, configure it for a metered connection, and this will halt the update. You might need to restart the update entirely once you switch it back to normal mode.
