I'm using a Acer Nitro 5 (an515-54) with an i5-9300h processor. I've experimented with undervolting before on Intel XTU and Throttlestop, which helped lower CPU temperatures and stabilize performance. Recently, I've been checking CPU clock changes during stress tests using AIDA64, but no significant differences were observed. Crashes haven't occurred even at very low core voltages. It's possible the issue relates to switching to Windows 11 or the new external monitor. I've also added my Throttlestop configuration just in case.

No, XTU functions properly.

On Windows 11, enable Virtualization-Based Security features such as core isolation memory integrity. Failure to do so prevents ThrottleStop and Intel XTU from accessing CPU voltage control registers. https://beebom.com/how-disable-virtualiz...indows-11/ After disabling VBS, shut down ThrottleStop and remove the ThrottleStop.INI file. Restart and attempt to run ThrottleStop again. If you notice unusual values in the Voltage column, incorrect DDR memory speeds, or erratic mV Boost MHz readings, VBS may be interfering with the FIVR interface. Please share a new screenshot of the FIVR window for further assistance.

I believe that. I'm not completely confident, but I might give it a shot.

Thanks for the reply, I had no idea about VBS and how it affects undervolting. Here's the updated screenshot, I don't know if the voltage values should just say "Default" though.

It should display Default in the voltage column, which is now accurate. The Intel GPU and the System Agent don’t have to match values—they just need to align. For Nvidia GPUs, keep the Intel GPU and iGPU Unslice at +0.0000. There’s no point in risking stability if it doesn’t cut power use meaningfully. I also leave the System Agent at +0.0000 for the same reason. I set IccMax to its maximum (255,75) for both core and cache; this isn’t essential. Try running Cinebench to check for improved performance or lower temperatures through undervolting. That’s a straightforward method to verify effectiveness. Ensure the ThrottleStop FIVR table records all +0.0000 values for a baseline without any undervolt testing.

Thanks for sharing! The AIDA64 CPU stress test confirmed it worked perfectly. There was almost no throttling, and the core clocks maintained a steady 3900–4000 MHz without needing increased fan speeds. Your experience sounds great—thank you for the helpful tips from TechPowerUp!
