Hello, I'm working on setting up Ubuntu on my old 5th generation laptop. The USB drive seems to work during installation, but once the system boots and the drive is removed, it displays an error saying "an operating system wasn't found." I changed the boot device to the hard drive, but the issue persists. I really need your help with this.

You installed the boot partition on the usual internal drive. If it didn’t work or you altered settings, that could be the reason.

Was das Tablet ein altes Geschäftslaptop ist? Ich hatte Schwierigkeiten, Linux Mint (basiert auf Ubuntu) darauf zu installieren, weil das UEFI nicht korrekt funktionierte.

Your device resembles an HP Probook, a vintage business laptop often equipped with unusual boot settings to support varied applications. You might need to install a custom boot entry to recognize contemporary Linux distributions. Could you share the exact model?

It's a vintage business laptop from Dell designed for professional users. You might need to configure a custom boot setting, similar to what I had to do with my old Probook. Is there a way to adjust this in the BIOS?
