Hey everyone, back in March my touchpad became unreliable—sometimes it wouldn’t respond at all, other times it worked perfectly. Now it’s completely unresponsive on Windows. But when I switch to Ubuntu it functions fine. I’ve tried various fixes online, including updating drivers and removing the device via Device Manager, but nothing helped. It seems like a driver problem, though I haven’t found any recent reports of similar issues. By the way, my machine is a Dell G16 7620 from 2022.

It might be a strange driver problem. Consider reverting to an earlier driver version, as the newer one could have issues.

This article highlights a hardware problem with the touchpad. Trying a replacement and driver reinstallation hasn't resolved the issue long-term. Someone suggested adding a grounding wire, which appears to help. It might be worth a shot if you're past the warranty period. Let me know if this helps.
