you notice partimage isn't really practical on any Linux setup, huh? it seems ext4 is the most widely used filesystem, maybe followed by btrfs and then a mix of Reiser+Xfs. i'm not sure if this still applies for fsarchiver, but at least it works better than partimage. i haven't explored partclone much, but the aur mentions ntfs-3g as a dependency, which suggests a recent update to support it. i think the aur maintainer should consider updating their packages, since there are clear reasons to prefer ntfs-3g over ntfs-3g. i can give you plenty of reasons why ntfs-3g is better, especially for imaging or storing images. i also don’t know what clonezilla actually uses behind the scenes, but i’ve used it for simple tasks like moving partitions across vmdk to a physical drive—easier to boot it inside a vm and attach the real drive.
