I don’t use any fan controller software personally, but I’ve heard a lot about them from others. People often share their experiences with tools like HID controllers, custom firmware, and various third-party apps. What works best depends on the type of fans you’re controlling and your specific needs.

AISuite and fanXpert stand out as top fan controllers available. A costly ASUS motherboard is still required for optimal performance.

I only use physical controllers and don’t want to keep adding more software that slows my PC down.

Not necessarily has to be an expensive one. It's only necessary to be an Asus. But I agree, it's perfect and easy Edit: and, of course, at least one 4 pin fan conector

I thought only their high end motherboards had it... But yeah its awesome. Control from the OS is great.

Avoid going to the Asus driver download center directly. Search for your motherboard model, download the files, and check for Asus AI SUITE. Keep in mind that very outdated motherboards may not support it, but my current one is a budget option from two years back, and I’m using it. I’ve also added others from Asus to my system.

I attempted to use SpeedFan but struggled with its settings. Are there tools available that allow precise PWM fan speed adjustments with custom curves, similar to how MSI AfterBurner manages GPU fans?

Speedfan stands alone as a distinct alternative to mobile apps. It offers comprehensive guides to help with installation.

Sure, I found a guide for you. It seems to be quite straightforward overall. Just keep in mind that certain motherboards might not allow adjusting fan speeds on specific connectors, which could make things tricky if you encounter that issue.
