Some folks kept suggesting Intel because they’re solid, though pricey, and the 5800X3D usually performs better than others in gaming.

Confident that the 5800x3D won’t surpass the 13900k. It’s a solid chip, but the hype should fade.

When it comes out in February, the DDR4 platform is released first, followed by the 5800X3D.

We're still determining whether it will feature a single chip or a two-chiplet architecture.

Uncertain about it, but it seems 7800X3D would need one CCD with 104MB total cache. The 7950X3D and 7900X3D would likely use dual-CCD with 3DV cache on just one chiplet. According to the article, the AMD confirmation mentions this detail. However, the OP was expecting a DDR4 platform CPU instead.

Absolutely, I got it. DDR4 is confirmed. Also, consider the 13600k or 5800x3D as recommended.

this suggests simply increasing investment without clear reasoning, which isn't logical when a 13.6k model works nearly as well. currently, the 5800X3D remains the top choice for gaming on DDR4 systems, delivering strong performance while offering better value compared to the 13900k. its price is justified by real-world testing and benchmarks—this isn't just a myth.

The top choice is the 13900K. You're adding the necessary notes and details, but until requests are clearer... I'm in agreement that the 13900K isn't practical, yet it remains the best option available.
