I recently purchased a 12400f motherboard. In the next two years, if I upgrade it, what should be the top CPU choice to maintain basic performance without pushing it overclocked?

Imagine a temperature of 14600K or 13600K is sufficient.

I have a 12400. I've considered a 13400. From my perspective, the best upgrade appears to be switching to 700 (8 performance cores instead of 6). Edited June 7, 2025 by leclod
