They seem to miss the mark a lot. I’m leaning toward his 10600KF.
If I had the ability to read thoughts, I wouldn’t be here! You connected a message to a project he hadn’t finished yet. -rascal- says, “You can't be lazy” lol. Wow, the story gets more interesting. His new chair is my favorite. “It smells like weed!” Haha, nice vibes.
I upgraded and stopped using a locked chip. Now I'm running an I5 10600KF with a Z590 Aorus Pro Ax. Fixed the problem myself and updated my profile to show the correct details.
It seems odd to spend a lot on a premium motherboard while only using a mid-range CPU. I’d expect a ~180 dollar board with a more expensive chipset, allowing for a stronger processor like the 10700k and extra cores.
i planned to buy a 200 usd chipset for an oc, but i thought about getting something cheaper. when we visited microcenter (because we weren’t there), my dad suggested just picking the better option. he covered the extra cost since my sister bought some items during our trip, making it feel like a thoughtful gift.
The i5-10600KF comes with a base clock of 4.1 GHz and a maximum single-core turbo boost up to 4.8 GHz. Simply adjusting the CPU multiplier ratio won't work; you'll need to fine-tune other settings like voltage or CPU load-line calibration to reach stable performance around 5.0 GHz. Make sure your system runs smoothly with XMP enabled for RAM and avoid any overclocking.
Suggesting a higher-end CPU usually improves performance more than upgrading the graphics card alone. My setup cost around $190 and ran at 10.7 GHz with 10700k without any issues. That’s my perspective, but he likely has valid reasons too.
