Typically in games, your CPU temperature ranges between 67-70°C. Right now, with the Ryzen 5 3600, during NFS Heat it reached 71°C, then jumped quickly to 81°C and dropped back down to 71°C. This behavior is unusual and not normal. The spike from 71°C to 81°C followed by an immediate drop suggests a thermal event. Repeated checks showed the temperature stayed around 71°C while playing, but the sudden change indicates a possible overheating incident. To determine if it was continuous at 81°C for 10-15 minutes or just a one-time spike, monitor logs or use software that tracks thermal trends. If you suspect multiple spikes, look for patterns in the temperature logs over time.

Is it a cooler day? If it feels normal, everything is okay.

Check your processor usage during gameplay to see if it’s limited by the applications running, not just the games themselves. You can view this in the task manager.

It was quite anticipated, and I think it's completely acceptable

You might consider using hwinfo to generate a log of CPU temperatures, but don’t request details from me

You're asking about some extra details. The cooler is five years old, and you've used it with your FX 8300 before. That might be useful to know!

I understand, I was misunderstood. What I meant was that the temperatures are okay since you're using Shadow Rock LP as a cooler, and a temperature spike is normal. Also, as I mentioned earlier, you can check CPU temperatures with hwinfo.

I don't understand, what's the ideal usage for my C PU during games? I also noticed the CPU fan reaches 100% while gaming—does that affect performance?
