Certainly a viable choice, though since Zen 4 likely won’t support AM4, I’d opt for a budget model now and consider advanced options next year unless you already own the system.

It seems to take a comparable route, possibly reaching a higher point like 129.99. MC consistently offers excellent discounts on the vintage CPUs I developed before their discontinuation.

GN testing showed reasonable performance scaling up to the 2080 ti with the 3100, so I wouldn't stress it too much.
