I'm working on setting up connections between three virtual machines in VirtualBox. One uses the latest Ubuntu Server, another runs Windows 11, and both need to link to VyOS. The main issue is VyOS can't reach the internet. I've tried pinging 8.8.8.8 but it keeps showing network unreachable. When trying to connect the VMs, VyOS only gets IPv6 addresses, not IPv4. This was a problem when I needed an IPv4 return address for routing. I suspect this affected the route configuration. I've changed the OS on both Ubuntu and Windows, tried a NAT setup similar to Kali, but even then neither machine connected properly. VyOS didn't provide an IPv4 address either, and he just asked what it should be without giving details. I think the .1 part in the diagram might be important, but I'm still unclear. This assignment is crucial for my cybersecurity networking class, and I'm stuck with limited resources.
