I tried to run a game on my PC and the initial page asked me to download the file. The warning about the site being untrusted made me keep going, but once I found the game everything seemed okay until the site demanded I download the EXE. I attempted the download but the file disappeared instantly after I tried, so I stopped and restarted until Eset said it couldn’t delete the file. I suspect my computer might be infected. After running scans with Eset and Malwarebytes, nothing was found, which makes me worried. I’m considering a reset but have too many files to manage. Are there any options to remove the virus or should I use a more powerful antivirus?
Did you receive that from Can You Run This?
Some unusual information claims it’s a virus. I would check
https://www.bitdefender.com.au/solutions/free.html
for a second view. That page is mainly useful for that advice, and any drivers it mentions might actually be safe. It displays my GPU drivers as 18 months old when they’re usually only a month old. The site also promotes Driver Booster, which you don’t need or want.

Kaspersky and Bitdefender seem to perform similarly, so there might be no real difference. I've installed the app you mentioned and haven't had any complaints recently—possibly a false positive. It's frustrating when there aren't better options that don't just focus on selling unnecessary products. Right now, I'm running a full Bitdefender scan of my system and also using Malwarebytes nightly. Nothing was detected, as usual.
I finished the scan and it showed nothing except for findings from my miners who removed two trojans, and that's roughly all of them.
