We experienced a power issue at work and one of the Windows 7 POS terminals was offline. Someone is looking for a USB recovery disc for Windows 7 POS and wants to know how to check the hardware status via the command line. They’re wondering if the process is similar on Windows 7 compared to the standard GUI experience.

The model is a pos pos, specifically a pos pos with the designation "pos pos."

The system is the focus here. They referred to the hardware rather than the software. The branding and model details aren't helpful since they seem irrelevant. Regarding recovery, you can obtain the ISO from Microsoft's site, though I'm not entirely sure if you can transition from the evaluation version to the full one (you have a product key...).

The issue with the till is unclear—your explanation seems abrupt and lacks context. Does the machine start up? Are there any error messages displayed? Can you access the operating system? Is it frozen in a loop?

It isn’t starting into the operating system and I can’t see the hardware. Without knowing the admin password, I can’t access the Ethernet connection, which isn’t displaying properly.

Reach out to the person who installed the tills—it’s likely the most effective way since many systems aren’t functioning well.
