I assembled my PC recently using all the latest components. I’m running a Ryzen 5 5600 g on an ASUS B5550 TUF Gaming Plus with Wi-Fi motherboard (a solid setup). My GPU is a 3060 with 12GB of VRAM, and everything runs smoothly on an 850W EVGA Supernova 850 G5 PSU. After checking the specs, I’m facing an issue where my PC shuts down unexpectedly and the motherboard shows a flashing green light—likely related to the PSU. This began about three days ago while I was testing Saints Row for a review; it stopped working several times. My home doesn’t have air conditioning, but I use a portable unit in my office that keeps the room under 80°F, so overheating isn’t the main concern. The CPU temperature stays around 95°C max. I’m worried about damaging the GPU or CPU and wonder if replacing the PSU is necessary or if there’s another solution.

I checked the AMD website and they mentioned the temperature should reach 95°C under load, which matches my usual gaming temps. For regular browsing and light tasks it's around 65°C. I have six case fans plus a CPU fan, so I might try reseating the CPU fan, but I don’t think it’s a cooling problem. I’m concerned about turning it back on since I don’t want to risk damaging my CPU or GPU.

It seems the CPU is still getting too hot despite your efforts. You've tried reinstalling the fan and adjusting its placement, but there are obstacles like capacitors blocking the grill. To cool it down without swapping fans entirely, consider adding more airflow, using a better cooling solution, or checking for dust buildup.

I disassembled my whole PC and reassembled it, which apparently resolved the overheating problems and stopped the black screens. I've been using it for a month now in this way, so I'm hoping I didn't harm the CPU over time. Thanks to everyone who offered assistance.
