Hi! Your dad is experiencing issues starting Windows 10. The boot process seems slow, taking around a minute for the loading prompt and then about four minutes to display the desktop. In the boot log, it appears the system attempted to load the same drivers over 800 times but failed. This pattern could be the cause. If this matches, you might want to disable certain startup items or check for conflicting drivers. If not, other troubleshooting steps like checking hardware connections or using a different driver setup could help. A clean boot was tried already, so consider deeper diagnostics next.

Mechanical drives slow down boot times significantly. Have you performed error checks to confirm there are no damaged sectors? It might also be due to a worn-out or failing hard drive with bad sectors.

We handled it. Although the drive was slower than expected, it didn’t seem to struggle much. The main issue is brand new, and the boot time suddenly increased significantly.

Attempt to perform a defragmentation and assess its impact. Consider running CMD with admin privileges and executing SFC /SCANNOW to check for improvements.

Keep smaller file sizes on your personal desktop, turn off certain programs... Could be drivers reinstalling by themselves. Graphics handle that reliably.

It attempts to install numerous copies of the same application. Uninstall and reinstall it.

A lot of files to sift through, but he logged around 10,000 entries. His system logs show about 180 entries and loads up quickly, like a minute.

Yes, prefetch and superfetch are enabled. Also, the computer name has been updated.
