I recently acquired a new Intel i7 11700K and an MSI Z590 Ace motherboard via a work discount that effectively reduced the cost. I transferred four 16GB 3200MHz Dominator Platinum sticks from my old system to the new one. When I turn on XMP in the BIOS, the machine won’t start. Lowering RAM speeds still prevents booting until I reach around 2133. I’ve attempted fixes like manually setting timings and confirming proper installation, but it’s not essential for the rated speed; having it would be ideal. Correction needed – the motherboard is Z590, not Z390.

Are you referring to a Z490 or Z590 Ace? The 11700K isn't compatible with a Z390 board. Have you verified that the BIOS is current?

Incompatible with the motherboard, there isn't even an update available for the 10th gen CPUs, let alone your 11th gen. It's honestly a miracle it boots at all lol https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MEG-Z390...upport#cpu

It's not compatible mechanically. The notches are positioned differently. I think the person who posted might have made a mistake.
