I possess a USB 3.0 to PCIe device that receives additional voltage from your power source, which is 750W. There’s no explanation for why it wouldn’t draw sufficient current from your system. The detailed logs in Windows clarify the issue clearly.

Remove all USB peripherals except those essential for basic operation—only use keyboard and mouse, and avoid AIO devices. Start the system briefly, play a game, and observe the results. The Kernal Power NIC compliance suggests a faulty power supply, but I’ve noticed other problems in other discussions (Avast might be misbehaving, AMD drivers could be the culprit).

I don't use Avast regularly. Regarding the PSU, I recently replaced my EVGA and had it returned via RMA for a comparable problem. Does that mean you're lacking sufficient power in your system?

I was dealing with this problem for a long time. Any Ryzen power plan would cause crashes or freeze my PC regularly—usually a few times a week. It seemed the issue got resolved after a BIOS update, but I’m not keen on digging into details; I just stick with Windows Balanced. What stood out was that it would crash when there wasn’t enough power, like around 500mV, even though my CPU needs about 900mV minimum and shouldn’t run below ~2000MHz. I’m not sure exactly what the cause was, but testing different power plans and processor settings pointed to this. Also, I never saw any error messages except for unexpected shutdowns—no logs, nothing obvious.

It seems you're seeking clarity on a technical problem affecting you. Could you share more details about the symptoms and your setup? This will help pinpoint whether the issue lies with AMD, Windows, Asus BIOS, or another factor.

Ultimately the problem seems to lie with the Ryzen chip, though a BIOS patch resolved it. A Windows update also helped at least partially. It’s tricky to pinpoint exactly—Windows usually handles drivers well, so blaming them isn’t always straightforward.
