The system restarted after a bug check.
Hey! When playing games, especially Rust, I sometimes face sudden freezes and restarts. I check the event logs and see a message about a bugcheck failure with ID 0x0000001a. After installing new RAM, a 2 x 16 3200 MHz Corsair Vengeance kit, I overclocked it to 3600 MHz. I’m trying to understand what’s causing these issues and how to fix them. I also learned about the "dmp" file which might help others investigate. I’m worried about sharing this information online—does it contain any personal data or passwords?
It's strange to repeat the same problem yesterday! I don't own a self-destructive Intel chip, and my RAM passed Memcheck weeks ago. I might have accidentally turned on Memory Context Restore this morning and then disabled it today—maybe that's why it's happening now.
It seems your system is experiencing a BSoD and shutting down on its own. How long has it been running at 3600 cycles? Has it remained stable before this issue occurred? Try lowering the frequency to 3200 MHz and observe if the problem continues.
The 0x1A indicates a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error. It might not always mean hardware failure, could also stem from software issues. As you mentioned, try lowering the memory frequency back to 3200 MHz and see if it resolves the problem. If it doesn’t, consider sharing the MEMORY.DMP file located at C:\Windows\. There’s no indication of sensitive data being stored in the memory dump, but you can remove the reference anytime if needed.
Visit C:\Windows\Minidump to see if any minidump files exist. If present, return to the Windows directory and transfer the entire Minidump folder to the Downloads folder (use your desktop if needed). Compress the copied folder and include it in a post. Please adhere strictly to instructions since Windows doesn't allow file manipulation there.
