Hello everyone, I’m facing an issue. When I power on my PC now, it freezes and shows an error saying the boot device can’t be mounted. The last time it worked was during a GTA 5 installation, after which I didn’t have a video output and had to shut it down, restart it, and then couldn’t get into recovery mode. Please help me resolve this.
Review the bios settings to verify the drive is visible. If it appears, download Windows 10/11 from the official site and transfer it to another PC using a USB drive. Follow the instructions to create installation media for repair.
Learn how to install Windows 10 on an external hard drive from this guide.
You need a Windows 10/11 ISO file with it. An additional internal SSD works too, but it will only hold the ISO until the main SSD is installed.
I put the installer on the external HDD, but it’s taking a long time to enter recovery mode—it’s still loading.
External and internal hard drives move extremely slowly, honestly.
