PC components including a Kavmas Pro 16 were used as a secondary screen. Recently I updated the BIOS to the latest version for my motherboard, everything appeared normal until the next morning after powering it down overnight. When I turned it on, neither monitor displayed anything, and the DRAM indicator was flashing in a repetitive pattern: long yellow, long off, long yellow, long off. I investigated and discovered it might be a RAM problem, so I removed and reinserted the RAM. This didn’t fix the issue; the only temporary solution seems to be restarting the computer until it completes the POST process. I don’t have any overclocking capabilities (including XMP) available.

Is this RAM? Please share the full specifications. Have you reset the CMOS? Did you test the RAM using standard jdec settings? If you answered yes to both, think about purchasing a different RAM type that matches your CPU and motherboard.

This concern differs from the previous one. The second relates to random freezing, while the first is about failing to post. I believe they’re separate issues since the freezing happened before the posting problem.

Yes, it's the same hardware. If you can't post, then you can't resolve the other issue either.

i received two units recently that started working after powering on. swapping components in other machines worked fine. it seemed like i checked the psu and found two faulty ones. testing other parts in different models was okay. this suggests the issue might be with the psu or a refurbished unit. it could also be related to a molex adapter for an ssd, though that seems unlikely. a pc should boot up when you press the button. mark kaine suggested it might involve ram.

It might have started because of a RAM problem, which could have occurred immediately after I updated the BIOS.

You mentioned everything seemed okay until the flash, but there might have been an issue earlier. Let's gather more information.

I mentioned earlier that I just updated the bios, but it seems it began happening shortly after I did so.
