I've been working on restoring an older machine, but despite knowing that SSDs have previously functioned well, the drives I'm attempting to install are now failing to read. Windows is still able to download files onto them. The system specs are an Intel i5 7400 K31CD-K motherboard from ASUS... These details seem relevant, possibly contributing to the issue. It's worth noting the SSDs aren't NVMe-based. Additionally, this computer had been in my possession for five years, during which I used an SSD before experiencing overheating problems, leading me to upgrade. Recently, I've been trying to repair it and consider selling it.
